Pupils get flying start to studying The Merchant of Venice at Shakespeare’s Globe

Over 200 Harlington School Y9 and Y10 pupils have had the fantastic privilege of seeing The Merchant of Venice with audience participation – as it would have been performed in Shakespeare’s day – at the Globe Theatre on London’s South Bank.

For those about to study The Merchant of Venice this event will have given them the best possible start. An excitable group of students was stunned into near silence by the quality of the production. A video taster of the show from BBC News is well worth watching https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-26560672

A young, attractive and energetic cast deserve much credit. As does Globe Education which harnesses the talents and facilities at The Globe with resources from Deutsche Bank’s Born To Be education program.
