High Expectations

We set high expectations of our students. The onus is on the individual to make the most effective use of their study time in order to maximise their chances of success. During study periods all students are expected to work quietly in order to allow for a calm and purposeful atmosphere. Students may work in the sixth form common room or the library.

In order to aid the transition from GCSE to post-16 study all students must complete a set of learning tasks related to each of their courses during the summer holidays. There is a significant focus on study skills in sixth form assemblies during the first term. Each student has a personal tutor who will academically mentor them throughout the duration of their time in the sixth form.
